Adventure Leisure Limited (a subsidiary of Burhill Group Limited) is the leading operator of indoor and outdoor leisure venues across the United Kingdom. They manage and operate 14 venues and 1 golf range and their new venue situated in Bristol’s Cribbs Causeway was to be their 15th venue.

Burhill Group contacted RCE services again after being impressed with our work on another of their large venues in Milton Keynes. Adventure Leisure is known for their particularly creative and ambitious interiors and has very high standards for the quality of their fit-outs.

The brief for Mulligan’s in Bristol was to create a space for “the perfect daytime family activity or an epic night out with friends”. As with the majority of our briefs, the fit-out involved stripping out the interior and then doing a complete re-fit.

The building was housed within a shopping complex. The team at RCE had to be creative as there was limited access for the removal and delivery of materials. RCE was unable to use machinery due to issues with the access but we got around this by constructing a purpose-built platform that enabled the disposal of rubble and other materials into skips which we positioned underneath the platform.

Fitting out the interior involved installing partitioning walls, ceilings, flooring, electrical installation, air conditioning, plumbing, commercial kitchen installation, golf course build and decor, and finishing touches.

The re-fit included two unique 12-hole indoor crazy golf courses featuring neon lighting and creative hole elements inspired by sports like surfing, skating, and basketball. As well as arcade games, electro darts, and a restaurant and bar area. This included mowed load lightings, a tiger dimming system, colour style programming and DMX special effects control.

Our technical services background also enables us to deliver exemplary levels of in-house service integration of lighting, electrical features, audio and ventilation systems. With one central control switch for everything, all systems within the building were pre-set meaning no input from staff was needed. This ensured all Mr Mulligan’s staff could open up and close down the venue quickly and efficiently, saving valuable time for the business
